Sonya Montgomery

I am honored to play this small role in the history-making activities occurring in the township of Allensworth, and excited to help in the creation of training programs that will catapult regenerative agriculture in this small community. I was born and brought up in the land of the best tasting strawberries in the world, Oxnard, California. I left this lovely coast to pursue my education at Cal Poly, Pomona and then supplemented my ag education at the California Farm Academy through the Center for Land-Based Learning.
I have spent over two decades in the fields of horticulture, land management, landscape contract supervision, nursery operations, farming, and hospitality for major regional and national organizations, in both the private and public sectors. During that time, I have tried to gain as much knowledge and experience as possible. But there is always more to be learned and am always a willing student.
